BERAKHIRNYA KARIER SANG MANAJER 

Tak ada pesta yang tak usai. Mungkin itulah kata-kata yang tepat bagi Sir Alex Ferguson ketika harus mengakhiri kariernya sebagai pelatih sepakbola di Manchester United. Fergie telah berhasil membawa MU menjuarai Liga Premier untuk ke-13 kalinya selama bertahta di Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson secara resmi mengumumkan pensiunnya pada saat yang tepat, seperti dilansir BBC, Rabu (8/5/13) pagi waktu setempat.

"Pihak klub Manchester United mengkonfirmasi bahwa Sir Alex Ferguson akan pensiun pada akhir musim ini," demikian bunyi berita tersebut.

Sementara itu, seperti dikutip The Mirror, Fergie mengatakan, "Ini adalah waktu yang tepat bagi saya untuk pensiun. Dengan banyaknya aktivitas, maka saya harus melihat ke depan mengenai karier saya," ungkap manajer berusia 71 tahun itu.

"Saya berterima kasih kepada keluarga, semua yang telah mendukung karier saya selama ini. Terutama istri saya, Cathy yang menjadi kunci keberhasilan karier saya hingga saat ini," ujar Fergie.

Ferguson sudah 26,5 tahun memimpin MU. Dia telah memberikan semua gelar bagi United, mulai dari 13 gelar Liga Premier Inggris, dua gelar Liga Champions, lima Piala FA, empat Piala Liga, 10 gelar Community Shield, satu Piala Super Eropa, satu Piala Dunia Antar Klub. Sejauh ini, Fergie telah mempersembahkan 36 gelar juara bagi MU.

Selepas pensiun, Fergie akan menjadi direktur dan duta bagi klub "Setan Merah" pada musim depan. Tak lupa dia menyampaikan salamnya bagi para penggemar MU, "Kepada para fans, suatu kebanggaan bagi saya karena dapat menjadi manajer Manchester United," ucap Fergie. (Vin)

“Ngga Sengaja”                             

                “Apa-apaan ,sih elo? Motornya jadi lecetkan!!!”

“Sorry han! Gue bener- bener ngga sengaja!”

                “Rehan sama sekali tidak menggubris pembelaannya Danar. Ia masih memandangi motor kesayangannya yang lecet.”Han,Sorry ya, gue……..”

                “Aah! Udah deh! Pulang sana!”potong rehan kesal, matanya sudah sembab dan merah. Danar tidak mau memperburuk keadaan. Ia pun langsung keluar dari parkiran sekolah dan bergegas pulang. Ia buru-buru nyalain motor dan mengendarainya kegerbang,meninggalkan Rehan di parkiran yang masih marah dan memaki-maki Danar.

                “Keesokan harinya Rehan kesekolah dengan perasaan campur aduk seperti kemarin. Ia masih setengah mati kesalnya pada Danar,walaupun hari itu sadar bahwa Danar tidak masuk sekolah, ia sama sekali tidak peduli dengan hal itu.

                “Dua hari berlalu, Danar masih belum nongol-nongol disekolah. Hal ini membuat heran kelasnya,karena mereka biasa berdua.begitu juga dengan Imam,sobat dekatnya rehan bingung akan hal ini dan menanyakan langsung pada Rehan.

“ Danar kemana Han?” tanya Imam memancingnya.

“Nggak tau!!”jawab Rehan pendek.

“Lo kenapa, Sih?”

“Bawel banget luh Mam, diem bentar bisa ngga sih!!!”grutu Rehan sewot.

“yaah, ko gitu sih?”(Imam menarik nafas sebentar).”eh, tengok Danar yuk Han..”,

Rehan heran,”ngapain negok kalo ngga kenapa-napa?”

“loh? Luh ngga tau kalau dia kecelakaan waktu pulang dari rumah Alpin .! wah,wah,wah dia kan jatoh dijalan pulang.

“Ngga, kenapa luh tanya gue kalau ternyata,luh lebih tau keadaan orang itu sekarang?”sambar Rehan bergegas beranjak dari tempat duduknya,tetapi Imam menarik tanganya.

“kenapa sih han??”

“Ngga ada apa-apa,”tukas Rehan sembari buang muka.

“gue kan sobat luh sejak SD,ceritain dong…..,”rayu Imam. Akhirnya Rehan menceritakan insiden yang terjadi dua hari lalu.

“Apa??? Cuma gara-gara motorluh dilecetin?”tanya Imam tak percaya.

                “Luh ngga ngerasain perasaan gue gimana? Pokonya gue ngga bakal maafin dia!!!”Rehan langsung berlalu dihadapan Imam.

(Tiba-tiba ngga lama kemudian Rehan mendapat telepon dari seseorang yang mengaku_ngaku bahwa dia adalah malaikat pelindungnya dan dia menceritakan  bahwa Ia akan meninggal dalam sepuluh sampai tiga puluh jam lagi.)

                “Besoknya Rehan kesekolah dengan perasaan lebih-lebih dari campur aduk,karena bahwa dia akan meninggal ditambah motor kesayangannya yang lecet itu.

 Dia khawatir, tiba-tiba terlintas dipikirannya nama Danar.”Akhirnya Rehan cepat” mencari Imam dan akhirnya ditemukanlah Imam di kantin sedang makan.”Rehan akhirnya mnceritakan kepada Imam dia telah di telepon oleh seseorang yang mengaku bahwa dia adalah malaikat pelindungnya dan mendapat kabar bahwa Ia akan meninggal dalam waktu sepuluh hingga tiga puluh jam,

sehingga dia berinisiatif untuk minta maaf kepada Danar,karena dia ngga mau meninggal dalam keadaan banyak salah”akhirnya Rehan meminta maaf kepada Danar dan setelah dipikir-pikir bukan luh yang salah Nar,tetapi gue yang salah,luh ngga sengaja ngelecetin motor gue,” dan akhirnya mereka kembali berteman seperti semula.dan setelah sepuluh sampai tiga puluh jam berlalu.”tiba-tiba akhinya Rehan menemui Imam kembali dan dia bertanya kenapa ko gue belum meninggal juga ,padahal tiga puluh jam sudah lewat.?”    Akhirnya imam menjawab. itu gue yang nelepon luh dan ngaku jadi malaikat pelindung supaya luh baikan dan berteman sama Danar lagi..! hahaha

The sun shone brightly and the west breeze blew. The kite was flying this way and that way tied to her string.

Suddenly the string snapped.  The kite was free.  She soared high in the air until she could see far, far away.

The kite followed some parrots who took her to see the rainforests. The air was cool and the kite got wet.

The kite followed some crocodiles who took her to see the rivers. The air was misty and the kite caught a fish.

The kite followed some wallabies who took her to see the deserts. The air was hot and the kite got tired.

So the kite followed the sun who took her back home, right to her string.

Once upon a time, lived a poor old widow in a small village. She lived with her daughter. Her daughter was very beautiful but also very lazy and arrogant. She never helped her mother and didn’t want to know what problem her mother had. Every day, she put make up and wears her best clothes. She always wanted to look rich and beautiful.

One day, the mother and her daughter went to the market to buy some food. At first, the daughter refused to accompany her mother, but finally she agreed. “I’ll go with you, but you must walk behind me,” said the daughter. She didn't want to walk side by side with her mother. Although her mother was very sad, she agreed to walk behind her daughter.

On the way to the market, everybody admired the girl's beauty. But they were also curious. Behind the beautiful girl, there was an old woman with a simple dress. The girl and her mother looked very different. “Hello, beautiful girl. Who is the old woman behind you? Is she your mother?" they asked. “No, she is not my mother. She is my servant,” the girl answered. Her mother was very sad to hear that, but she didn't say anything. She could understand that her daughter was ashamed.

The girl and the mother met other people. Again they asked who the woman behind the beautiful girl. And again the girl answered that her mother is her servant. She always said that her mother is her servant every time people asked.

At last, the mother cannot hold the pain anymore. She prayed to God to punish her daughter. Suddenly, the girl's leg turns into stone. Slowly, the process continues to the upper part of the girl's body. The girl was in panic. "Mother, please forgive me! Mother!" she cried and asked her mother to forgive her. But it's already too late. Her whole body finally becomes a big stone. Until now, people can still see tears falling down from the stone. People then call it Batu Menangis (it mean the Crying Stone).

COORDINATE CONJUNCTIONS AND PARARELL CONTRUCTIONS

 COORDINATE  CONJUNCTION

            These conjunctions join equal sentence parts. We have seen that compound subjects and predicates are joined together by these words. They are actually used to join any parallel elements of the sentence .

Example :

1.      Music and matemathics are related subject . (two subject)

2.      He is poor but honest. ( two adjective )

3.      Did you look in the dictionary or the encyclopedia? ( two subjects of a preposition)

4.      Did you look in the dictionary or the encyclopedia ( two prepositional subject )

5.      The victorious party sang and danced in the streets ( two predicates)

These conjunction are also used to join whole sentences together . there are seven coordinate conjunctions = and, or, not, but, for,so,yet.

Notice that they have distinct meaning=

* and shows augmentation.

   Example: - my brother moved to New York , and I moved to Japan.

                   - Dolphins are friendly animals, and they are also intelligient.

* But and yet shows contrast. Yet is sometimes considered a conjunctive adverb like      however ,rather than a coordinate conjunction.

 Example: - her cousin moved away, but she stayed in twon.

                 - Michelle is a vegetation, yet she eats chicken.

                 - Yugal earns a good salary, yet he never seems to have any money.

Or and Nor show contrast or alternation.

Example: - are you going to the party, or will you stay home?

                - I do not write Arabic, nor do I speak it well.

For and So show reason.

Example: - that student failed, for he was veryill this year.

                - the books were cheap, so I bought all of them.

Notice that after nor the subject pattern takes questions word order : the verb or auxiliary before the subject.

Example : I am not eager to there, nor is erik.

                 - I am not eager to there , nor will erik be.

When a coordinate conjunctions join two sentences , the conjunction is normally preceded by a comma.

Example: - pedro lives in mexico city, and maria in hollyword

                - pedro is single , but angel has a wife and two children.

Sentences joined by coordinate conjunctions may or may not be of the same basic pattern , as canbe seen by examining the preceding sentences.

PARARELL CONTRUCTIONS

            Parallel construction means using the same pattern of words to show that two or more ideas have the same level of importance. This can happen at the word, phrase, or clause level. The usual way to join parallel construction is with the use of coordinating conjunctions such as "and" or "or."

Words and Phrases

With the -ing form (gerund) of words:

Parallel:

Mary likes hiking, swimming, and bicycling.

With infinitive phrases:

Parallel:

Mary likes to hike, to swim, and to ride a bicycle.
OR
Mary likes to hike, swim, and ride a bicycle.

1.      The meaning of direct speech ( kalimat langsung)

Direct speech is a words of sentence which live speech by the speaker. Direct speech contains of two parts:

- Reporting verb ( kata kerja yang meberitahukan)

- Reported words ( kata yang diberitahukan / dilaporkan)

Example: reporting verb à- my father says, and the teacher said,

Example reported wordsà - it is time to go away, and The students come

There are some attentions on direct speech  :

a.       Reporting verb usually share with (,)

b.      Reported word on direct speech wits wrote in quotation marks(“)

c.       Reporting verb à it can be mention with reporting sentence,but reported words it can be mentions reported speechthe location of reporting verb not only on the first sentence, but also on last sentence.

Example: Reporting verb : = he said,

Example reported words = “ it is time to go away’’

Bisa menjadi : reported words = “ it is time to go away” dan reporting verb = he said.

2.      The meaning of in direct speech( kalimat tidak langsung)

In direct speech is a sentence is say for showing a statements of someone or reported words to another.

Indirect speech:

Example à she says that he is a clever student.

Direct speech

Example à She says,” I am a clever student”.

3.      The kinds of direct and indirect speech

Accrding with the reported words, direct and indirect speech can be share to 3 parts:

a.       Statement ( pernyataan)

b.      Imperative / request( perintah/ permintaan)

c.       Question ( pertanyaan)

4.      Pernyataan / statements

4.1 ( direct speech)à which will be changed to indirect speech :

Will not change on tenses ( present Tense, present perpect tense, future tense)

- present tense :

Example à direct indirect speech = she says,” I am a clever student,”

                    Indirect speech à she says that he is a clever student.

-present tense:

 Example à direct speech = she has said,” I have eaten”

                     Indirect speech = she has said that he has eaten.

-future tense

 Example à direct speech = She will tell me,” I am ready to come with you,”

                     Indirect speech = she will tell me that she is ready to come with you.

4.2Direct speech on past tense, indirect speech will change on tenses

Example =

Direct speech:

- simple presents = she told me ,”the woman comes,”

-Presents continus tense= she said,” the woman is coming.

- present perpect = she said ,” the woman has come”

- presents perfects continus tense = she said,” the woman has been coming

- simple past tense = she said,” the woman came last night

- past continus = she remarked,” the woman was coming,”

- future = she said,” the woman will came.

- past future = she said,” the woman would come if she were you,”

Indirec speech:

- simple past =she told me that the woman came.

- past continus =she said that the woman was coming.

- past perfect= she said that the woman had come

- past perfect continus = she said that the woman had been coming

- past perfect tense = she aid the woman had come the night before.

- past perfect continus = She remarked that the woman had bee coming.

- past future = she aid that the woman would come.

- past furute perfect = she said that the qoman would have come if she had been me.
