DIRECT SPEECH AND INDIRECT SPEECH
1.      The meaning of direct speech ( kalimat langsung)
Direct speech is a words of sentence which live speech by the speaker. Direct speech contains of two parts:
- Reporting verb ( kata kerja yang meberitahukan)
- Reported words ( kata yang diberitahukan / dilaporkan)
Example: reporting verb à- my father says, and the teacher said,
Example reported wordsà - it is time to go away, and The students come

There are some attentions on direct speech  :
a.       Reporting verb usually share with (,)
b.      Reported word on direct speech wits wrote in quotation marks(“)
c.       Reporting verb à it can be mention with reporting sentence,but reported words it can be mentions reported speechthe location of reporting verb not only on the first sentence, but also on last sentence.
Example: Reporting verb : = he said,
Example reported words = “ it is time to go away’’

Bisa menjadi : reported words = “ it is time to go away” dan reporting verb = he said.

2.      The meaning of in direct speech( kalimat tidak langsung)
In direct speech is a sentence is say for showing a statements of someone or reported words to another.
Indirect speech:
Example à she says that he is a clever student.
Direct speech
Example à She says,” I am a clever student”.

3.      The kinds of direct and indirect speech
Accrding with the reported words, direct and indirect speech can be share to 3 parts:
a.       Statement ( pernyataan)
b.      Imperative / request( perintah/ permintaan)
c.       Question ( pertanyaan)

4.      Pernyataan / statements
4.1 ( direct speech)à which will be changed to indirect speech :



Will not change on tenses ( present Tense, present perpect tense, future tense)
- present tense :
Example à direct indirect speech = she says,” I am a clever student,”
                    Indirect speech à she says that he is a clever student.
-present tense:
 Example à direct speech = she has said,” I have eaten”
                     Indirect speech = she has said that he has eaten.
-future tense
 Example à direct speech = She will tell me,” I am ready to come with you,”
                     Indirect speech = she will tell me that she is ready to come with you.


4.2Direct speech on past tense, indirect speech will change on tenses
Example =
Direct speech:
- simple presents = she told me ,”the woman comes,”
-Presents continus tense= she said,” the woman is coming.
- present perpect = she said ,” the woman has come”
- presents perfects continus tense = she said,” the woman has been coming
- simple past tense = she said,” the woman came last night
- past continus = she remarked,” the woman was coming,”
- future = she said,” the woman will came.
- past future = she said,” the woman would come if she were you,”

Indirec speech:
- simple past =she told me that the woman came.
- past continus =she said that the woman was coming.
- past perfect= she said that the woman had come
- past perfect continus = she said that the woman had been coming
- past perfect tense = she aid the woman had come the night before.
- past perfect continus = She remarked that the woman had bee coming.
- past future = she aid that the woman would come.
- past furute perfect = she said that the qoman would have come if she had been me.
